iPad 2 Surely Not a Kids Toy: Your Views

Now i am still trying to get my head around why Apple would consider selling their iPad 2 devices via Toys ‘R’ Us outlets, surely these stores are meant for children’s toys as suggested by the name, unless Apple now consider their iPad 2 to be a toy.

As advised in my article dated April 18, selected Toys ‘R’ Us stores began selling the iPad 2 on Sunday, April 17 — see full article here. So now, there could be children across America who have now become proud owners of the Apple device.

According to an article by ItProPortal, Toys ‘R’ Us became the eighth authorised retailer to sell the iPad 2, after Target, Best Buy, Radio Shack, Walmart, AT&T, Verizon and the Apple Store. This choice of store partner chosen by Apple is very revealing and gives us an insight into just how far Apple is willing to stretch when it comes to the sale of their devices.

Despite becoming a new iPad 2 retailer, the short supply of the device is affecting Toys R Us stores and many stores are selling out within minutes of opening up their doors. It seems the iPad 2 is very popular with the little ones and must be quite hard for many technical aficionados to imagine that the iPad 2 could become a knick-knack for kids to play with.

Please let us know what you think of Toys R Us stores selling the iPad 2.

As someone who was recently saved by an iPhone's ability to keep my 2 year old entertained onboard a recent flight, yes ABSOLUTELY these should be sold in Toys R Us!!
