The Samsung Droid Charge is now receiving a software update over-the-air (OTA), if you have experienced problems with the battery life you will be happy to know that this update will help cure that.

The Verizon Wireless Samsung Droid Charge update will now give you optimum features; users will now get the mobile hotspot feature to work anytime and anywhere. Other features include the likes of increased battery life, especially when voice calling. Many users noticed that when voice calling the battery life was rapidly going down, hopefully this new OTA update sorts that problem out.

The update also gives a better browser performance, improved GPS performance, new email folder structure and much more according to UberGizmo.

You can choose to download this new update via OTA, but it is always recommended that you do an update via your computer / laptop etc. It makes sense to go the computer option rather than OTA as this saves your handsets battery life.
