Droid Bionic Official Release Date Tomorrow

Phones Review Quickie: The Android faithful on Verizon Wireless have been waiting a very long time for official confirmation of the release date for the Motorola Droid Bionic, and now that official confirmation has finally arrived and the Big Red has now officially confirmed what rumours have been saying for weeks.

According to an article over on the Boy Genius Report, Verizon Wireless has now put their official stamp on the Droid Bionic release date and announced that date will be tomorrow the 8th of September.

Here’s the official spec run down, Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread, dual core 1GHz processor and 1GB RAM, 4.3-inch qHD scratch resistant gorilla glass touch screen, 8 megapixel auto-focus camera with LED flash, 1080p video capture, front facing camera, 16GB memory with 16GB installed microSD card, Mirror Mode with HDMI out, Adobe Flash, HTML5 capable.

Price wise the Motorola Droid Bionic will hit your pocket for $299.99 on a two-year agreement as rumoured, and you will need a Verizon Wireless Nationwide plan beginning at $39.99 for 450 minutes per month along with a smartphone data package beginning at $30 per month for 2GB data.

So there you have it, it’s now all official and those who have been patiently waiting on the Android smartphone to finally come out to play only have a few more hours to wait before they can hit up the Big Red and get the handset in their hands, I bet that makes potential owner of the Droid Bionic very happy indeed.
