RedSn0w update fixes iOS 5 location bug & more

RedSn0w has a new update, which takes it to 0.9.9 beta 6 will fix a few bugs. This is the new RedSn0w update that fixes iOS 5 location bug & more.

According to the Dev Team the update that adds Windows compatibility as well as fixing the iPhone 3GS network crash with 06.15.00 basebands, it simple terms it fixes the location service bug.

If you visit the Dev Team blog you will see that they have updated its site, mentioning a few details covering the Location Services in iOS 5 that eliminates the network crash. The cosmetic fix is to the visual countdown you see when going into DFU mode.

iDB suggests that you can re-run redsn0w over an existing device jailbroken at iOS5, to do this all you need to do is choose “Jailbreak” again and de-select Cydia. If you happen to have the old-bootrom iPhone3GS, then just pre-select the IPSW first.

This update is still a tethered jailbreak, for the iPhone 3GS old bootrom devices this is not the case.
