iOS 5 untethered jailbreak, exploits uncovered via bug

At last users can now untether iOS 5, if you have been waiting a long time to get your hands on the iOS 5 untethered jailbreak, then you might be in luck. There is no chance of release just yet, but Chronic Dev Team member pod2g tweeted earlier today mentioning the find via a new bug.

iDB reports that confirmation of new multiple exploits in iOS 5 have been found, this is progress. No release dates have been given, and apparently will not see then coming anytime soon.

Patients is the step everyone has to put up with for now, it is ok to find such exploits within a bug, but to bring the iOS 5 untethered jailbreak into reality is another thing.

iOS 5 at the moment can be jailbroken, and we know that it is tethered. The only downside is that you have to connect your device to a computer of some sort, which is not really a bad thing. The only time it is bad is when you need to reboot when you are out and about, hopefully the Dev Team will find a way to release it before the end of the year, what a Christmas present that will be for all you jailbreakers.

Please do let us know what you think about the news above, your comments are very important to us.

Jailbreaks are getting longer and longer in the releases nowadays, i honstly belive that this ‘Cydia’ culture will die out over the next few iphone models… Dont get me wrong, im pro-jailbreak, i love the fact it allows you to use your device as it was meant to be used, but Apple has became a world super-power in the technology industry and every year they are getting stronger. What happens when they offer a job to the very same developers of the hacks to allow them to be totally jailbreak-proof, who hacks them then???

Apple already beat you to the punch.  Ever wonder what happens in those beta releases? The hackers find exploits and then Apple patches them before the actual iOS is released.

i’m getting tired of waiting for ios jailbreaks. After spending £500, why can’t I customise the way I want my phone to be like! such as LockInfo; 5 row icons; reply to texts without leaving apps; true multitasking; hide recient apps; flash; oled screen; wifi tethering; toggle wireless and bluetooth from any app; 3rd party apps; Location based tasks; and not have to keep converting video formats to suit the iphone.
I hate apple soo much. The only reason I keep moaning about it is because I have all the docking stations in my car and at home, I like itunes and I could see myself using the siri in the car – and the dual aerials.
I waited in hope for months for Apples announcement; I was very dissapointed.
I hate you Apple, Take your silhouette and shove it up your arse. I’m going to Android.
