If you own the HP TouchPad, you will be happy to know a new update is available for you to download, this is an OTA (Over The Air) update build webOS 3.0.5.

The new HP webOS 3.0.5 update has many new features, enhancements and improvements; one of the main ones that stick out has to be the improvements to the video calling experience.

Main Changes within update include: Faster scrolling when reading an email message, Faster switching between Day, Week, and Month views, and faster event display in Calendar, Added sender photos and IM presence indicators in Email, Improved handling of MP3s that are transferred from a computer using USB Drive mode, Email attachments are now saved with draft messages, as well as Added a dedicated view of contacts available for a video call, for quicker setup of a video call.

Other things include: Improved stability when watching video in the Web app, Auto-correction can be turned off directly from the onscreen keyboard, New alert when video quality might be lower because of network issues, Added support for HTTP Live Streaming, and last but not least when typing, pressing the space bar twice inserts a period. This can be toggled on and off.

Other things to know: The new webOS 2.2.4 has also been released, this is available for the unlocked HP Pre 2 and AT&T, Verizon, and unlocked HP Pre 3 phones. The Pre 2 update brings MAP for Bluetooth and Skype voice calling and messaging.
