Ice Cream Sandwich update blesses WiFi Motorola Xoom

The Motorola Xoom when it first released may not have been your chosen preference of purchase, let’s face it there are plenty of others to choose from such as the Apple iPad 2, Samsung Galaxy Tab, BlackBerry PlayBook and so on. But for those that did make that important decision to buy the Xoom, will be pleased to learn that a new Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 software update is coming your way, well for those that have the Xoom WiFi model.

Already released on Samsung’s Galaxy Nexus with others now following suit, American Xoom owners as mashable reported, will start seeing the ICS 4.0 update being pushed out to devices. Users will benefit from an improved web browser, resizable widgets, voice typing, redesigned app launcher, photo editor, amongst others.

Starting last night, the new update will be sent out at various points over the next handful of weeks, and for those that may have your Xoom switched off or are not connected via your WiFi, rest assured the notification will automatically be sent through to your device, which you will get when you connect up to WiFi upon your return.

Let us know if you are one of the lucky few to already receive the new update?

Me too. Still trying to work out how to access some of the new services (face detect to unlock for example) and still unsure how to use the card storage but looks good so far.
