Samsung Galaxy S3 specs for Canada & possible US release

Samsung is ramping up its push to get its new flagship smartphone the Galaxy S III out to numerous regions, and it has now been made available in a number of countries, meanwhile Android fans in the rest of the world are waiting for it to arrive in their region, and today we have news of the Samsung Galaxy S3 specs for Canada with a possible US release date.

We have already told you that the device has been confirmed to be releasing on June 20th for all the major Canadian carriers, and according to an article over at Phandroid there a few items that are understandably different from the international version of the handset. Samsung’s own quad core Exynos processor will be missing, and instead it will house the North American friendly dual core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm S4 processor with LTE, which is still no slouch.

The version heading to Canada and possibly the US as well will feature 2GB of RAM that will delight many potential customers of the device. While consumers now know when they can get their hands on the Galaxy S3, US Android fans are still waiting to hear any official news about the phone, but during the Vodafone live stream in Australia for the device it was revealed that the Galaxy S3 will be calling into New York on June 20th, and its first stop on the US tour.

Obviously there is no guarantee that the device will also be releasing in the US on that date, but it shouldn’t be much later if not. Other confirmed specifications for the Canadian version of the handset include Android ICS 4.0.4 straight from the box, and a powerful 2,100 mAh battery.

Samsung quickly launched the device into 28 countries a couple days ago and are looking to get the device globally available soon, but the device is seeing some delays to the Pebble Blue model due to some manufacturing defects, while there don’t seem to be any problem with the White version.
