HTC One S and XL Jelly Bean update on way

When it comes to HTC their track record for dishing out Android updates is a bit on the unpredictable side, as often they say an update is on the way, only to let users down. However, if word is right, it appears that HTC is preparing to deliver the Android Jelly Bean update to the HTC One S and HTC One XL smartphones.

According to a report over on Ubergizmo by way of Australia’s Telstra, the word is HTC is working on delivering the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update to both the HTC One XL and HTC One S, but unfortunately no one has mentioned just when Jelly Bean will hit both devices.

Of course this news shouldn’t really come as a surprise to anyone, as both the Telstra HTC One S and HTC One XL are not all that different to AT&T HTC One X other than differing LTE bands , and this smartphone will also receive Android Jelly Bean at some point.

HTC has mentioned in the past that its One series of devices, along with others would gain the Android Jelly Bean update at some point, and will probably include such handsets as the HTC Sensation, along with its variants, the HTC EVO 4G LTE, HTC Rezound, HTC Velocity and HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE.

As mentioned above, there is currently no word on just when any of HTC’s handsets are likely to receive Jelly Bean, but at least you now know they are working on it, for the Telstra HTC One S and HTC One XL anyway; more as and when we hear.
