Verizon Samsung Jasper Android phone purported specifications

We first heard about a new smartphone coming out of the Samsung camp that was destined to play nice on Verizon back in April, called the Samsung SCH-i200, otherwise known as the Samsung Jasper, and now it appears that an image along with some specifications has been leaked on the Verizon Samsung Jasper.

According to an article by The Verge, the picture and brief details of the Samsung Jasper were leaked via Twitter, although on checking the Twitter account, it seems the page no longer exists.

However the guys do say that the leaked specs for the Samsung Jasper echoes what was previously heard, such as the Jasper will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 processor, apparently the same as that found in the hugely popular Samsung Galaxy S3 and HTC One X, however the device will be somewhat less high-end when it comes to the display, and the Samsung Jasper apparently sports a WVGA 800 x 400 display of unknown size.

Word is that the Jasper will be the first Sammy device to sport a dedicated multitasking key rather than a traditional search button, along with a redesigned ICS style menu key, and will reportedly rung Android Ice Cream Sandwich, so basically virtually everything we previously heard about.

It’s fairly obvious that the Samsung Jasper has been in the works for quite a while, but as for just when the Android smartphone will come out to play on Verizon, well that little bit of info remains a mystery for now, but as and when we hear more we will naturally pass it along to our readers.
