It may have now been superseded by a newer model but the company hasn’t forgotten about owners of the HTC One M7, and now there is some official confirmation about the HTC Sense 6 update release date that has been detailed.

On the day of the HTC One M8 launch some information came to light from often reliable HTC tipster LlabTooFeR about a number of handsets from the company and when they should see the HTC Sense 6 update.

Now this has been confirmed by Jason Mackenzie who is HTC America president, and he has taken to Twitter to reveal that the US and Canada will see the HTC One Sense 6 update by the end of May. He was asked if this is worldwide before he mentioned Canada and the US so other parts of the world may have to wait a little longer, unless it comes sooner elsewhere.

He also promised that the status of the update in the US will be available on the official HTC website with an update soon.
