Foot Fairy app for iPad takes off but Android users wait

#

Every now and then a new app comes along that generates a lot of interest and one such case is the Foot Fairy app. This recently got a plug on Shark Tank and we have details ahead of the Foot Fairy app for iPad that has really taken off, although the Android platform is still waiting.

The iOS version of the app is compatible with the iPad 1, 2 or 3 running iOS 7.1 or later, but not the iPad mini. It provides a way of measuring your child’s feet to give their shoe size by holding their foot against the display of the iPad. The app developers stress that the child must never stand on the iPad in order to do this, but should be sitting down with the iPad placed against the foot.

You can find the Foot Fairy – Fun Kid’s Shoe Measurement iOS app at iTunes here and the best part is that this is a free app so it’s worth trying it out. The app description gives full details of how to measure your child’s feet. Unfortunately there’s no Android version of the app available just yet though we’ll do our best to find out more about when that might be available.

This sounds like a great idea and I for one can’t wait to try it out on my son when he gets home from school. If you have recently had your child’s shoe size professionally measured, it would be interesting to hear if the size matched that given by the Foot Fairy app. Do let us know by sending your comments.
