OnePlus One pre-orders start in October, for a limited time

#

Remember the OnePlus One? There have been dozens of smartphones released since the “flagship killer” launched, and most of us are no closer to buying one. That will change for a time next month as OnePlus One pre-orders are set to go live in October.

One of the main gripes behind the OnePlus has been the invite system. The company thought it would be a fun way to dole out the smartphone, but now it just looks like it was an attempt to distract folks from the stock levels. We knew they would be limited, but it’s safe to say nobody thought they would still be in the invite phase at this time. If you haven’t already picked up another flagship, you “may” be able to finally snag a OnePlus One next month.

The OnePlus One Pre-order system will provide users with a limited window in which they can order the OnePlus One. If they have it in stock, they’ll ship it out to you immediately — if it’s out of stock, you’ll go into a pre-order queue of sorts. Apparently, you can cancel your spot in line if you don’t feel like waiting and you will get an estimation date if you’re in the pre-order queue.

The new pre-order system is set to kick off sometime in late October, and the company says you’ll just have to press a button to pick one up or get in line. It will definitely be interesting to see how many people are still interested in the OnePlus as there are similar options out there now, and their PR has sucked to put it mildly.

Are you still looking to pick up the OnePlus or have you already set your sights on the iPhone 6, Note 4 or Moto X?
