The Micromax Bolt A064 appears on Micromax’s site

#

Micromax may be a smaller company when it comes to smartphones, but they sure do crank out a lot of handsets. The last time we checked in on the company, they had just announced the Canvas Plus 4, and another smartphone is getting ready to launch with the Micromax Bolt A064.

If you know anything about Micromax, you know that most of their lineup falls in the “budget” range. The Micromax Bolt A064 is no exception, and if you’re looking for a device more powerful than the Micromax Canvas Plus 4, you may want to look elsewhere as the Bolt A064 isn’t it.

The Micromax Bolt A064 specs show a dual-SIM handset with a 3.5-inch HVGA (480 x 320) display. The processor is listed as a 1.3GHz dual-core chip, and you’ll find 512MB of RAM and 4GB of (expandable) storage under the hood as well. Rounding things out for the Micromax Bolt A064 is a 2MP/0.3MP camera combo, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS, and microUSB. The Bolt gets its juice from an 1,400mAh battery, and it runs Android KitKat 4.4.2.

We don’t know the price of the Micromax Bolt A064 at this time, but it’s already listed on the company’s site. That said, it should be pretty cheap as it’s a 2G handset with a tiny screen and 512MB of RAM. What price point do you think the Bolt A064 needs for it to be a success?
