Huawei Honor Holly is coming to India for Rs. 6,999

Huawei has been busy this week, announcing several new products and even dropping a device onto Newegg. Well, you can now add another smartphone to their ever-expanding roster with the Huawei Honor Holly which is gearing up to launch in India.

Unlike the Honor 6 Extreme edition, the Huawei Honor Holly doesn’t boast flagship specs. It is a bit better than your typical mid-ranger though, and it has a 5-inch 720p display with a 1.3GHz quad-core chip under the hood and 1GB of RAM. The internal storage isn’t your standard 4GB either as the Honor Holly packs comes with 16GB that can be kicked up a notch through a microSD slot.

Continuing with the “better than average” trend, the Huawei Honor Holly sports an 8MP rear camera and 2MP front-facing snapper. It’s a dual-SIM device as is the standard for the region, and other connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, and 3G. The Honor Holly gets its juice from a 2,000mAh battery, and it will run Android KitKat 4.4 with a dose of Huawei’s Emotion UI thrown in for good measure.

When compared to devices like the Android One handsets or even the popular Redmi 1S, the Huawei Honor Holly can hold its own. In most areas the specs are on par with, if not better than those handsets and the price is comparable as well as it’s priced at Rs. 6,999 in India which is a little more than and the One handsets and the Redmi. The Holly is scheduled to land on Flipkart October 16th if you’re interesting in picking one up.
