The Oppo R1C photo leak shows a sleek new handset

#

Oppo has had several new smartphones show up on the net over the past month, and we’ve just gotten wind of another one called the Oppo R1C. It’s not the first time the phone has showed up on the net, but it is the real look we’ve gotten at the device so far.

The Oppo R1C smartphone was previously known as the Oppo R8207 when it passed through Chinese certification. As you can see from the photo below, it is a nice looking handset although some could argue it bears a striking resemblance to another popular device that runs a different OS. We won’t name names, but it’s fairly obvious…

Looks aside, the Oppo R1C will have plenty of pop thanks to a 1.5GHz octa-core Snapdragon 615 SoC and 2GB of RAM. As for the storage, you’re looking at 16GB with expansion via a microSD slot. On the slick blue back of the R1C you’ll find a 13MP camera, and the 5MP sensor found on the front is more than sufficient for sharp selfies. Last but not least, is the display which is listed at 5-inches with a resolution of 720p.

Oppo R1C

The Oppo R1C is a pleasant surprise as the company’s last handset leak, the Oppo 3007, showed more of a mid-range handset. The R1C certainly isn’t mid-range, and it looks like a flagship handset that could attract a lot of interest if priced right. That’s all we have for now, but we’ll keep you in the loop as we learn more about the Oppo R1C pricing and availability.
