iBall Slide Brace-X1 4G launched in India with VoLTE for Rs. 17,499

Usually, when we cover something from iBall it’s on the affordable side. On occasion, they drop something a bit fancier like the iBall Slide Brace-X1 4G. Their latest tablet has been announced for India with a price tag of Rs. 17,499 and has some interesting features to offer consumers in the region.

The first thing you’re going to think after seeing the iBall Slide Brace-X1 is… Lenovo is going to sue. It is very reminiscent of a particular slate from the company but sans the clean lines. That said, you can clearly see a headphone jack, rear camera and other phone-like features on this one. That includes 4G VoLTE, something you don’t find on too many slates these days.

As for the innards, the iBall Slide Brace-X1 4G will pull its power from a 1.3GHz ARM Cortex A53 octa-core chip and 2GB of RAM. The storage clocks in at 16GB but is expandable, while the screen measures 10.1-inches and sports a resolution of 1,280 x 800. It’s of the IPS variety and is a multi-touch panel. We don’t know the overall dimensions on this one, but it’s safe to say you can’t tote it around in your pockets unless you are a giant.

The iBall Slide Brace-X1 4G may be a tablet, but it has a solid camera setup. There is an 8MP camera on the rear with AF and an LED flash while the front-facing camera is listed at 5MP. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, a 3.5mm headphone jack, FM Radio and 4G VoLTE. The slate is powered by a 7,800mAh battery and is listed as running Android 6.0 out of the box.

If you like what the iBall Slide Brace-X1 4G has to offer, you will have to shell out a pretty penny to pick one up. The price tag of Rs. 17,499 shakes out to around $260 bucks, which is steep compared to similar tablets with more horses under the hood.
