Videos: iPhone as universal remote via RedEye

How about enabling your iPhone or iPod Touch into a remote control for any IR equipped equipment? Well according to an article over on engadget, ThinkFlood’s RedEye universal remote control system does just that.

Apparently the application is a totally free download; however you will require the base station as that’s the component which makes all the magic work and will set you back a tidy $188.00.

Apparently it all works by your iPhone or iPod Touch talking to the dock over WiFi and virtually anything that responds to IR signals such as home auto-systems, an AV device can then be controlled via the handset.

Also it supports multiple controller, users and rooms and can control virtually unlimited number of devices with unlimited commands and even reacts to multi-touch. We have a couple of videos for your consumption which you can check out below…enjoy.
