Separate event to show off Samsung Galaxy S3

The Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2012 event will not be the place to unveil the new upcoming Samsung Galaxy S3; we already reported news on this. The good news is there will be a separate event to show off the new smartphone.

TechRadar is reporting that they were contacted by Samsung confirming that the SGS3 will NOT be unveiled MWC 2012. We did mention this before but we also said that Samsung did not confirm the news, but now if the source above is correct it will have its own event.

There will be other products etc unveiled at Mobile World Congress 2012, but this will not include the above product. We dug a little further earlier to drum down what we know so far about the SGS3, now we can add a totally new event that will be hosted by Samsung in the first half of the year, probably closer to release date.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 is the successor to the S2, but this newer model will come with a bigger screen, better processor and much more. Do you think Samsung are playing a big strategy game? In that we mean like delaying the SGS3 until after the next Apple smartphone aka iPhone 5 has been released, or do you think it has something to do with manufacturing?

We will bring you more news as soon as we know more.
