HTC Desire SV Dual SIM smartphone coming to Europe

There was a time when Dual SIM mobile phones were only available in emerging markets and were basically feature phones that could use two separate SIM cards. Now though we are seeing a number of manufacturers bringing out smartphones with this feature, and now the HTC Desire SV is expected to release in Europe soon.

The handset was announced earlier this month for consumers in India and now as Unwired View is reporting the handset is heading to Russia by the end of the month, and the smartphone is expected to reach Europe soon as well.

It will cost consumers in Russia 14,900 RUB that is around €370 or $470, which is a little dearer than the price in India, and for your money you get a smartphone featuring a 4.3-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 x 800.

Under the hood is a dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor clocked at 1GHz that is coupled with 768MB of RAM with 4GB of built in memory that can be expanded further via microSD card. The HTC Desire SV will come running the Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, but given the recent announcement from HTC should eventually see Jelly Bean.

Other features include an 8MP rear camera with autofocus and LED flash, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11 b/g/n, 1,620 mAh removable battery, and Beats Audio enhancements. The handsets camera also features a wide 2.2 aperture in a 28mm lens, and a feature titled Video Pic allows users to capture stills and videos at the same time, and is contained in a handset that measures in at 129.74mm x 67.9mm x 10.7mm weighing 131 grams.

This will be the second Dual SIM smartphone from the company to hit Europe after the Desire V, and will appeal to a growing number of consumers that like the idea of a Dual SIM handset.
