Let’s talk about the specs first
The Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 comes packed with a 6.3-inch HD display (Hence the name) with resolution of 1280 x 720, 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 8 to 16GB of internal memory choices, 1.5GB of RAM, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS, 8-megapixel rear camera, 1.9 MP front-facing camera, LTE support and a massive 3200 mAh battery.
The Samsung Mega 5.8 as the name suggests features a 5.8-inch TFT display, 1.5GB of RAM, 2600 mAh battery, Dual-core 1.4 GHz processor, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, 8GB of internal storage, 8 MP camera with 3264 x 2448 pixels, and a 1.9MP on the front.
Both smartphones are stunning but we know what one we would choose, looking at the videos below is very interesting indeed and before we talk about them we would like to say a big thank you to Phone Arena for their video previews.
When we watched the smartphones recording a video “Indoor Sample Video” we noticed there was not a lot of difference between the Mega 5.8 and the 6.3 other than the sound quality, the sound was much better on the Mega 6.3.
The same for both the “Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 Sample Video 2” and the “Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 Sample Video”, yet again the Mega 6.3 is much better.
Do not get us wrong, the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 has better specs but that does not mean the Mega 5.8 is a bad smartphone, we would own one in a shot. Both are superb phones and when it comes to picture quality when recording there is not a lot of difference to the normal eye, maybe professional photographers and the keen eye will notice but we cannot, the sound is clearly miles better on the 6.3.
Please take a look at the 7 videos provided below, and then pass your judgement, would you prefer the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 or the 5.8? We believe it will come down to what size phone you would like to hold in your hand.
