Vodafone HTC One Android 4.2.2 update at last

#

The Android platform can come under a lot of fire with regards to the slow rollout of firmware updates, and a manufacturer may release some new software only for various carriers delaying its arrival further adding their own features and testing it. We now have the good news that the Vodafone HTC One Android 4.2.2 Jelly update has arrived at last.

Owners of the HTC One have been enjoying the Android 4.2 update for a while now in some regions, but others are still waiting for the new firmware to arrive. Now owners of the device in Australia on Vodafone can now start to look forward to the later version of Android.

The carrier delayed the new firmware to iron out some early problems but have now announced that the update is now available. The update is coming in two stages that starts with a 1.5MB download that will allow the Android 4.2.2 firmware to proceed.

As usual the update is staggered so it will take a few weeks to reach all end users who will receive a notification to start the OTA update, but users can check manually by going into settings and selecting About Phone, System Updates, and then Check for Updates.

Users can look forward to features such as a new lockscreen style and widget, battery level can be seen in status bar, Daydreams, and much more.

Have you received the Android 4.2.2 update yet on your HTC One?
