Sony Xperia Z Android 4.3 update release possibility

#

Sony have been working hard this year bringing out more desirable handsets for consumers to purchase, and this arguably started with the arrival of the Sony Xperia Z with its dust and waterproofing. Now there are reports of the release possibility for the Sony Xperia Z Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update.

It looks as if a number of Sony smartphones will soon be enjoying the last version of the Android Jelly Bean firmware, as earlier today we heard that the Sony Xperia L should get the update by mid November, which followed news that the Sony Xperia SP should also be updated in December.

Now the flagship Sony Xperia Z is being tipped to receive Android 4.3 at some point during November as well and possibly the last week of the month. This is only a rumour so no official confirmation has been given so a pinch of salt is needed.

You would have thought though that Sony would get one of its flagship devices updated at least around the same time as the cheaper hardware that is down to receive the new operating system. Sources are claiming that the update will bring a whole host of changes to the smartphone besides performance improvements.

Most of these must be Sony based changes though as Android 4.3 doesn’t bring a vast amount of new features compared to the previous version of the OS. As we get closer to next month we may gets to see some versions of the firmware leaked so we will then be able to see what new features the company has added.

Are you looking forward to Android 4.3 on your Sony Xperia Z?

Yrsi would certainly love to have some even somewhat updated jerky bean on this awesome device but stony told me they don’t know anything about when it’ll happen, it’s T-mobile branded so that’ll surely keep the update from hitting my device anytime in the next year, and I’m tired, frankly, if being told its going to happen for the last 4 months at least. If the xperia z leapfrogged jelly bean 4.2 and went straight to 4.3, I believe, my opinion only apparently, that this would be one of the best phones available (xperia z1 honami excluded of course). Since I’m with T-mobile AND have JUMP! and since I heard T-mobil. Is very possibly getting the xperia z1 at some point, I might have to just grin and bear it until February when I’ll be able to get my first upgrade. Hopefully T-mobile well have the z1 at that time….. Otherwise, Sony, I may have to move along to a different phone, and that ISN’T AT ALL what I want to do. Please come with the update already, Sony. Please. We all want it and have been waiting VERY patiently……

How can the XZ leapfrog 4.2 when it’s been out for a couple of months?
It’s not Sony’s fault that you haven’t got 4.2 yet, it’s T-Mobile’s – Sony send it to the carriers and then they do their checks against their own apps which the carriers create, and if they feel that it’s not 100% stable, then they won’t release it

The XZ1 has been out for over a month, so if TMobile don’t have it yet where you are, then they’re slacking, and if your upgrade is in February, then I’d fully expect a XZ2 to be out by then, as Sony are pushing their new Xperia range HARD, and although it doesn’t sell as well the Galaxy S4 or HTC one, they’re still some of the top 10 selling phones, and thus Sony are actually making progress in the market!

I have a Galaxy Nexus & Nexus 7 which are already on 4.3, and to be honest the differences are VERY minor – I’m looking forward to 4.4 to see the changes, especially since Google are making some real strides with the OS, much more than Microsoft, RIM or Apple (who are technically so far behind everyone else that they only sell phones because of their name)
