Moto X Android 4.4.2 update on T-Mobile now rolling

#

A week ago we informed readers that the T-Mobile Moto X Android 4.4.2 soak test had been released. Now we have even better news as following a successful soak test the Motorola Moto X Android 4.4.2 update is now officially rolling out to T-Mobile USA users.

T-Mobile has now issued release notes for this update for the Moto X. The 161.44.25 software version clocks in at 146.7MB so is quite sizeable for an interim update. The Moto X 4.4.2 changelog includes additional support for printing documents and photos, improved battery life and a fix for email sync delays.

T-Mobile Moto X owners will be receiving notification that the update is ready to download and install. Alternatively you can check manually via Settings followed by About Phone and then System Updates.

Before you attempt to update you should ensure you have at least 50% battery charge on your Moto X and are connected to a Wi-Fi network. Once you’ve updated you will not be able to downgrade to a previous software version.
