HTC has sold more than 1 million of their Android based HTC Magic smartphones reports an article on Silicon India. The HTC Magic hit the United States market in August as the T-Mobile myTouch 3G handset.

The myTouch 3G is a similar mobile phone to the original T-Mobile G1 but loses the G1 physical QWERTY keyboard and opts for a touch centric interface.

HTC have also released the HTC Hero which features a customised HTC Android user interface called Sense. HTC have announced that for the rest of the year, more than half of their shipments will be mid range smartphones due to Android making it a tad cheaper that using Windows Mobile.
