Motorola Sholes to run on Android 2.0 operating system aka Éclair

The Motorola Sholes that recently popped up on the mobile phone radar will, according to the latest rumour sport Android 2.0 OS which has been dubbed “Éclair” by Google reports an article on electronista.

Google Android 2.0 “Éclair” is expected to deliver whole device search along with voice recognition and also text to speech functionality, so if true it’s looking good for the Motorola Sholes.

The Motorola Sholes also offers an OMAP3430 processor which apparently has a similar architecture to the chip used in the Apple iPhone 3GS, and rumour has it that there is a 3G UMTS and WCDMA network is also being worked on.
