Geek of the Year goes to Jon Rubinstein of Palm

Along with ten others, Palm’s CEO Jon Rubinstein has been named Geek of the Year 2009 by Fast Company for bringing webOS to the mobile arena reports an article over on precentral.

Other 2009 Geek of the Year winners include the like of Twitter’s Biz Stone and Evan Williams, Neill Blomkamp the writer of District 9, Facebook’s Mark Zucker, the brains behind Google Wave, Jens and Lars Rasmussen, and J.J. Abrams.

Rubinstein is more or less responsible for delivering the Palm Pre and webOS to the mobile public and thus dragging Palm back from the brink of mobile phone oblivion.

The thing is, can Rubinstein pull something new out of the Palm hat at CES 2010 so that Palm remains in the public eye?
