You may be aware that the Verizon Motorola Droid smartphone has just received an update of Android 2.1 and to sort of mark the occasion the Big Red has put out a couple of new Verizon Motorola Droid commercials.

We have said video commercials for your viewing pleasure below courtesy of the guys over at softpedia which they say show a focus on Android apps available to download via the Android Market with the first video showing off Google’s Sky Maps and the second Slacker Radio.

The first video is called Verizon Droid Other Planets and lasts just 31 seconds while the second video is called Verizon Droid All Comers and again lasts just 31 seconds.
