Only 11,000 Droid 2 Handsets out there says Chitika

The Motorola Droid 2 has been available for a couple of weeks, and one would presume that sales of the Droid 2 would be doing quite well considering how well other Droid smartphones have faired, however this may not be the case.

According to an article over on Intomobile by Kelly Hodgkins, real time traffic statistics from Chitika estimate that there are just 11,000 Droid 2 devices in the wild and browsing their ad network. Furthermore Droid 2 traffic hits come in at 102,500 which is somewhat poor when compared to the original Droid getting 10 million.

Apparently the Droid 2 gets a big fat zero percent of Chitika traffic but the original Droid still manages to grab 29 percent, so the picture isn’t looking good for the Droid 2.

Fore weeks before the launch of the Droid 2 came the Droid X which is also beating the pants off of the Droid 2 by grabbing 1.5 million hits along with 4 percent traffic. Although it does have to be said that these figures are from just Chikita and isn’t that exact.
