Android Sprint LG Optimus S Released Sunday

If you are a Sprint customer and one of the Android faithful looking to pick up an entry level Android smartphone on the Sprint network, Sprint has now announced when the Android LG Optimus S handset will become available.

According to an article over on Android Central by Sean Brunett, Sprint has announced that the LG Optimus S smartphone will be available as of this Sunday the 7th of November.

For those that are unaware, the LG Optimus S handset offers a 3.2 inch capacitive touch screen, a 3.2 megapixel camera, runs the Android 2.2 Froyo operating system, and has mobile hotspot capability, Sprint ID, and microSD expansion up to 32GB.

The LG Optimus S will cost $49.99 when signing on for a Sprint two year agreement and after a $100 mail in rebate. However as of the 7th you will only be able to get the LG Optimus S in Charcoal but the Purple version is due release on the 21st of November.

      IVE  HAD  THE  SMARTPHONE  LG  FOR   3  MONTHS  NOW  AND  IM  VERY  UNSATISFIED  WITH  THE  PHONE  THE  SCREEN  HAS  A  FREEZE  UP  TO  IT  WHEN  I  TRY  TO  USE  IT   TO  CALL  THE  SCREEN  STAYS  BLACK  AND  ALOT  OF  TIMES  I  HAVE  POOR  CONNECTIONS  I  THINK  SPRINT  OVERCHARGES  TOO  HIGH  FOR  THE  POOR  QUALITY  OF  THE  PHONE  AND  PHONE  SERVICE  IM  GOING  TO  BUY  ANOTHER  PHONE  AND  TRASH  CAN  THIS  PHONE.

    me and my mother got these phones in Jan. 2011.. they seemed to be a great phone for about a month. now they freeze up all the time, same textes will be sent more than once, my moms phone wont keep a charge even after I swiched out her battery for mine. our phones both restart themselfs all the time.this smart phone has a mind of its own..wish they could fix the gliches. also wish it could send mass textes from contact list. the simple things my old phone could do was left out of this one..a bit dissapointed for the price we pay to use them ..Amber
