Samsung unofficial devices, six revealed by benchmarks
Although a lot of attention is already being placed on the Samsung Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3 smartphones, due for release this year, we shouldn’t forget other devices that Samsung will be bringing to the table. We now have some details for you from GL benchmarks that give some core specs about six upcoming Samsung smartphones or tablets.
None of these have been announced by Samsung yet so it will be interesting to get some idea of basic offerings of each. First up is the GT-I9150 / GT-I9152 Galaxy Fonblet 5.8 and benchmarks show this to have a 1.2GHz Broadcom BCM28155 CPU, VideoCore IV graphics, a qHD display with resolution of 960 x 540 and running Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.
The GT-S5310 / GT-S5312 Galaxy Pocket 2 is a low-end device with a 850MHz Broadcom processor, VideoCore IV GPU, VGA display with resolution of 320 x 240 and also runs Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. Then we have the GT-S5282 Galaxy Star with a Spreadtrum processor, Mali-300 graphics, VGA display with resolution of 320 x 240 and again featuring Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, another low-end offering.
On now to the GT-S6310 / GT-S6312 Galaxy Young. This one is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm 7×27 processor with Adreno 200 graphics. It has an HVGA display with resolution of 480 x 320 and once more runs Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, are you getting a theme here? The penultimate device is the GT-S6810 / GT-S6810P Galaxy Frame with a 1GHz Broadcom processor, VideoCore IV graphics, HVGA display with resolution of 480 x 320 and one more time, it’s Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. The first model number does not support NFC while the latter model number does have NFC.
Finally and perhaps most interestingly is the GT-B9150, which as yet is unnamed although we have seen this model number tallied with the Galaxy Q previously. This has a 1.7GHz Exynos 5250 dual-core processor and quad-core Mali-T604 graphics along with a full HD display with resolution of 1920 x 1080 so this is obviously a much more high-end device. The OS makes this even more interesting as this time it’s Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean and while the other devices here are definitely phones there’s a possibility that the GT-B9150 could be a tablet. No doubt all will be revealed in time.
While most of these upcoming phones don’t sound too exciting we’re definitely interested in what the GT-B9150 turns out to be and will be following future developments on all of these Samsung devices. What are your thoughts on this Samsung lineup? Are you more interested in the Galaxy S4 or Galaxy Note 3? Tell us by sending your comments.
