Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4.2 update reaches India and others

#

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Android KitKat update has already begun for both versions of the device in select regions, but it seems the company is busy pushing the Android 4.4.2 update to more areas as it reaches India among others.

A few days ago the SM-N900 version of the Galaxy Note 3 began receiving the new Android 4.4.2 update, which followed the same update hitting the SM-N9005 model. Now according to the guys over at SamMobile the update is landing in more regions for both versions of the handset.

This includes the likes of India, South Korea, and Switzerland that are now seeing the new firmware arrive, but will all firmware updates even in the same country it won’t hit every user at once so don’t worry if you haven’t received the notification yet.

The update is arriving via both the Samsung KIES desktop app and over the air, and is sized at around the 380MB mark. Users can try and check for the update manually by going to the More option in the main settings, then selecting About device and Software update.

We heard a couple of days ago that users that had already downloaded the new firmware were experiencing issues with third party accessories, and at the time it was wondered if Samsung had added something to the software to prevent them from working with the device.

Now Samsung has commented on the issue to AllAboutSamsung and basically recommend users to purchase official products, but they can continue to rely on other companies accessories as well as Samsung has done nothing to prevent them from working.

Have you received the update yet and do your third party accessories still work?
