New Galaxy S3 Android 4.3 update possible for problem fix

#

It is no secret that many owners of the Samsung Galaxy S3 have been dealing with a very problematic smartphone over the last few months, which at times makes you feel like throwing the device out of the window. Now though a new Galaxy S3 Android 4.3 update is possible for a fix for the various problems affecting the handset.

We heard yesterday that it seems highly unlikely that the international version of the Galaxy S3 will ever see the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update, which is despite all the issues currently affecting the smartphone.

There could be some hope on the horizon though following comments from Vodafone in Australia. The carrier has yet to roll out the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update to the LTE version of the Galaxy S3, and have now listed the new firmware as needing re-testing due to changes being made by Samsung.

While not official confirmation this could indicate that Samsung is working on a new more stable version of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean for the Galaxy S3 ready for a global release, but whether this means the device will be stopping on this version of the Android firmware for good remains to be seen.

At the very least it may provide a fix for the numerous problems the current version of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean has caused the Galaxy S3.

Do you hope Samsung provides a new version of Jelly Bean for the Galaxy S3, or do you think it makes more sense to provide KitKat?

It makes more sense to provide an OS that will be more fast and not making problems to the users. I don’t care if it will be Jelly Bean or Kit Kat, just to be smooth so the phone be comfortable for use. 🙂

I installed the latest 4.3 version today (4-18-14), using the latest ver. 3 of Kies. I have the international version phone, GT-I9300. No problems with install and phone is working well. The original 4.3 was working well before install. Time will tell concerning battery life and other issues I might find. I hope KitKat will be offered.

My battery issues make me want to throw my phone out the window. It has only started problems since the last update in January 2014. Never had a battery issue until then.
