Samsung SM-A500 photos show up courtesy of TENAA

#

The Samsung SM-A500 has shown up several times in the past couple of months, and it’s believed to be part of a new lineup from Samsung called the Samsung A Series. Well, we just got our first look at the handset thanks to some new Samsung SM-A500 photos from TENAA.

TENNA is basically China’s version of the FCC, and we always get some information whenever a new device passes through its gates. This time it’s the Samsung SM-A500, and it does indeed look like it belongs in the rumored new A series. The big selling point behind the A series and the SM-A500 is the fact they are supposed to have metal bodies ala the Galaxy Alpha. The photos appear to show the same type of build which means Sammy is finally changing up their design across the board.

As for the Samsung SM-A500 specs, we got a look at those last week. The device is believed to have a 5-inch 720p display with a 13MP/5MP camera combo. The chip should be the new Snapdragon 410, and it will have 2GB of RAM to boot. The other two leaked devices from the Samsung A lineup are the SM-A300 and SM-A700.

We still don’t know what Samsung will call the SM-A500, but it appears to be the “next-gen” of midrange handsets from the company. The specs are close to what we’ve seen from their middle of the road lineup in previous years, but slightly improved with a cleaner design.

What do you think about the Samsung SM-A500 and the A series?
