#

The Galaxy Alpha may be going the way of the dinosaur, but it looks like the Samsung A Series is here to stay. If you live in the US, and want to get your hands on one of the new handsets today is your lucky day. While they still aren’t available through carriers, Expansys have just made the Samsung Galaxy A3 and Samsung Galaxy A5 available for purchase for folks in the United States.

Expansys has offered up several hard to find devices for buyers in the US this year, and you can now add the Samsung Galaxy A5 and A3 to their roster. They are a little more expensive than you would normally pay if you picked one up from a carriers, but unlocked smartphones from major manufacturers are never cheap.

First up is the Samsung Galaxy A5 and its 5-inch 720p display. The A5 will sport a 1.2GHz octa-core chip, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage and a 13MP/5MP camera combo. The Samsung Galaxy A3 carries similar specs, but is smaller at 4.5-inches with a lesser screen (960 x 540), and 1GB of RAM. You’ll have 8GB of storage to work with, and the rear camera is listed at 8MP while the front-facing cam houses a 5MP sensor. Both handsets will run Android 4.4, and come unlocked with Dual-SIM slots and ready for LTE 4G.

As for the price, the Samsung Galaxy A3 is the cheaper of the two handsets at $329.99 unlocked. The Galaxy A5 is listed at $409.99, and both are available in White. At this time, Expansys is only showing 10 units of stock for the Galaxy A3 so it looks like they are moving fast. If you’re interested in the unlocked Samsung Galaxy A3 or Samsung Galaxy A5 from Expansys USA while supplies last.
