Moto X Pure Edition now on sale at Best Buy

#

Back in July the new Moto X 2015 was announced as the Moto X Pure Edition for the US and titled the Moto X Style for other markets. The Moto X Play was also announced, as a more affordable option. We knew that the Moto X Pure Edition would be available online from Moto Maker. However, it’s always good to have further choice and the phone is now on sale at Best Buy.

The Moto X Pure Edition is Motorola’s latest flagship smartphone and the giant retailer now has the Moto X Pure 4G in stock in 16GB or 32GB internal storage options (both are expandable to 128GB via microSD). It’s up for grabs unlocked for in-store pick-up in bamboo, black, or white. The starting price is $399.99 for the 16GB model with the bamboo choice priced at $424.99. The 32GB model is priced at $449.99 or the bamboo version will set you back $474.99.

These are competitive prices considering the specifications that the Moto X Pure Edition has. These include a Snapdragon 808 hexa-core processor, Adreno 418 graphics, a 5.7-inch display with Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440, and 3GB of RAM. It has a 21-megapixel rear camera with phase detection autofocus and dual-LED flash, as well as a 5-megapixel front-facing snapper that also has LED flash.

Further Moto X Pure Edition specs include a 3000 mAh battery, and it runs virtually stock Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. The handset measures 153.9mm x 76.2mm x 11.1mm and it weighs 179g. The new Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has the same sized display and QHD resolution of the Moto X Pure Edition, so some readers may like to check out a comparison of the phablets here.

If you intend to head to Best Buy to purchase the Moto X Pure Edition you might want to check availability first as not all stores appear to have stock. Are you pleased to hear that the Moto X Pure Edition has arrived for sale at Best Buy? Are you tempted by the Bamboo option or will you stick with black or white?
