LeTV Max 2 rumors point towards 6GB of RAM

#

LeTV is a brand not known to most in the West, but they’ve dropped a couple of interesting smartphones this year. The LeTV Max 2 is the sequel to a device with the same name, but even more high-powered than the previous model.

The original LeTV Max had a lot going for it and one thing working against it — the size. At 6.33-inches, it was bigger than the Nexus 6 and 90% of the phablets on the market, but the follow-up has taken it down a notch. The LeTV Max 2 will still have a QHD display, but it will be 5.7-inches this time around which is a much more manageable size for most folks.

We’ve seen an uptick in RAM used with flagships this year, and the LeTV Max 2 looks to continue that trend. The smartphone is rumored to come with 6GB of RAM, which will pair nicely with the Snapdragon 820 that’s said to be on board. As for the cameras, the rear sensor will utilize a 23MP Sony IMX300 sensor, and the front-facing snapper will have .1 second fast focusing feature. Nothing else was mentioned in regards to the specs, but the smartphone is said to be thin with glass on both sides.

If you think the LeTV Max 2 sounds too good to be true, you may want to hold that thought. Their last flagship was highly spec’d as well and all the components mentioned will be available sometime next year. Pricing and availability for the LeTV Max 2 are up in the air, but it will likely be one you’ll have to import and it’s expected to arrive in Q1 of 2016.
