Xiaomi Mi5s Leaked Render Flaunts Dual Camera Setup

#

There were reports that Xiaomi is working on the successor of the highly popular Mi5. There were also reports that they are planning to incorporate a dual camera setup on the phone. Now it seems like both these rumors are true because a leaked render of the Xiaomi Mi5s apparently shows the dual camera setup. The leaked render also shows the black variant of the phone which looks gorgeous. The design looks very similar to the original Mi5, and this version is probably an upgraded version rather than a device with design changes.

There were reports that came in June which suggested that Xiaomi was purchasing dual camera modules from Samsung. If this is read along with the current post, it probably leads to the confirmation that there will indeed be a dual camera on the Xiaomi Mi5s. Not only that, future phones from Xiaomi may have it too, like the $600 phone that Xiaomi is working on.

Other rumored specs of the Xiaomi Mi5s includes the Snapdragon 820 at the helm. This is supported by a whopping 6GB of RAM. Internal storage will mostly be 64GB or 128GB. The display is a 5.5inch Full HD panel, but we would’ve loved to see a Quad HD display. Another feature is that the phone supports Force Touch Technology which determines touch based on their intensity. Like with all other phones now, there is a fingerprint scanner too.

The camera shown in the render is accompanied by a dual-tone LED flash. There is no confirmation on the camera quality or megapixel. It is mostly going to be a 12MP dual camera setup like seen on many other popular devices like the Huawei P9, P9 Plus, Honor V8 and more.

Like with all other Xiaomi devices, the Mi5s will also be a much-awaited smartphone. The USP of this phone will be its price and the dual camera setup. Even though the prices are not confirmed, it will be lingering somewhere in between $300 and $400.
