HTC EVO 4G Now Best Selling Launch Day for Sprint

The Palm webOS smartphones, you remember them, the Palm Pre and Palm Pixi, well when they first became available on Sprint they became the best selling launch in Sprint history, however it appears that the Palm handsets haven’t held onto that title for long.

According to a Chris Ziegler article over on Engadget, the Palm devices have now had to give up that best selling launch day title to no other than the fist 4G enabled smartphone, the HTC EVO 4G as its is now the best selling launch day device in Sprint history.

No official figures from the Sprint camp as yet though, but apparently Sprint is stating “temporary shortages of the device at some of the 22,000 sales locations across the United States,” although said shortages are being replenished daily.

SO with that best selling launch day device safely under its belt, the next thing is of course to take on and survive the expected launch of the mighty iPhone 4G which we should get confirmation of today when Steve Jobs takes centre stage at WWDC 2010.
