Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Pre-order, AT&T or Verizon Choice

The original Samsung Galaxy Note created a nice niche market for the company with the device quickly gaining a lot of fans around the world, and as soon as the company officially revealed its replacement the company wetted the appetite of a lot of consumers. The handset has been available in some areas for a few weeks now, but the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 release in the US is getting closer as consumers now have the choice of a pre-order on AT&T or Verizon.

Carriers in the US have been starting to confirm the handset was coming with first Sprint, and then AT&T announcing plans to stock the device. Now though as SlashGear are reporting both AT&T and Verizon have put the device up for customers to pre-order.

Both carriers have the device up for $299 on condition of a new two year contract being taken, or if you want the device without a contract Verizon will sell it to you for an eye watering $699.99, while with AT&T it’s slightly cheaper at $649.99. The Galaxy Note 2 is available in either white or black colour options, and AT&T has a ship date of November 6th while Verizon has it down for November 27th.

To recap the device sports a 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED display powered by Samsung’s own 1.6GHz Exynos quad core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM with 16GB of on board storage, which is expandable by a further 64GB via microSD card.

There is an 8 megapixel camera on the back with an LED flash while on the front is a 1.9 megapixel shooter, and people that have already got the handset have stated how good the battery life is, with Samsung claiming the device has up to 15 hours of talk time and 12.5 days of standby time.

The device has seen the screen increase slightly over the old model, but Samsung has managed to make the new model slightly narrower with owners saying the Galaxy Note 2 is easier to hold in the hand.

Which carrier will you be getting the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 on?
