Samsung Galaxy S3 Android 4.1.2 ROM leaks with Multi-View

The Samsung Galaxy S3 has sold massively around the world since it was released back in the summer, and recently the handset has been enjoying the Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean update in many parts of the world. Now though we have news that a Samsung Galaxy S3 Android 4.1.2 ROM has leaked with the Multi-View feature from the Galaxy Note 2.

We first heard last month that the feature was tipped to arrive on the handset with the next Android update last month, but now a leaked version of Android 4.1.2 has been found by the guys over at SamMobile with the Multi-View feature.

There are also some other features that are already found on the Galaxy Note 2 as well that include the handsets Paper Artist, and a new gallery app. Some other new features include smart rotation that adjusts the display to the angle you are looking at it, Page Buddy, and continuous input in the Samsung Keyboard.

For those of you that don’t already know the Multi-View feature allows users to divide the display and run two Android applications at the same time. The leaked ROM is a pre-rooted build that has been put together via a system dump so only download the firmware at your own risk and is only for the GT-i9300 Galaxy S3.

The Android 4.1.2 update is reportedly still undergoing testing by Samsung with a release being tipped for sometime next month, and the handset is believed to be getting the Android 4.2 operating system early next year.

As always though any firmware release is dependent on the various carriers around the world pushing the update out to their customer’s hardware. There are still numerous users still waiting for Jelly Bean to reach their handset in both the UK and US, with T-Mobile customers in the US being the latest to get the new software.

Are you looking forward to the multi window feature?
