LG G2 Android 4.4.2 update available to download

#

It seems that new firmware updates on the Android platform are coming thick and fast as now the LG G2 Android 4.4.2 KitKat update has been made available ahead of an official over the air update for the international version of the handset.

We have already seen both the AT&T and T-Mobile versions of the LG G2 in the US treated to the Android 4.4.2 update, and now the official international version of the update has been made available via a download over on the XDA Developers Forum.

It has a build number of KOT49I.D80220a and comes after we previously heard that some regions in the European region were tipped to receive the update for the LG G2 during this month.

Will you download this software or wait for the official rollout?

If you had an open international phone you may have lost waranty…..if your previous version was D80210e-EUR-XX and you upgraded to D80220A you do not have original update…i saw a guy posting that this update has some carriers bloatware….

LG distributes this upgrade over OTA and over LG PC suite for right models- if your phone keeps saying that you are using the latest version it’s because this is not real update for your type of phone….i may be wrong…but as there are several updates registrated finishing with different letters i would say it’s because it’s ment for various variants….

I guess it’s best to wait until we hear from LG….and i would recomend to guys with warranty, that is still active, not to install this version of update cos it’s not ment for you IMEI or maybe even your version of phone….
