Xiaomi Mi 5 and Mi 5 Plus specs leak reveals QHD displays

#

The Xiaomi Mi 5 and the Xiaomi Mi 5 Plus specs rumors are starting to heat up again after we learned a Snapdragon 820 may be in the cards for one of the handsets last month. Today’s leak is a big one, and it gives us the lowdown on what lies under the hood of both devices.

Before we get to the Xiaomi Mi 5 Plus specs, we’re going to check out the regular Mi 5, which has a 5.2-inch QHD display covered in Gorilla Glass with those 2.5D edges that have been popping up so often this year. The horsepower will come from a Snapdragon 810, and the camera combo is quite nice with a 16MP rear snapper and 13MP front-facing camera. Rounding things is a quick-charge capable 3,000mAh battery and Android 5.1.

The regular version of the Xiaomi Mi 5 will have plenty of punch, but the rumored Xiaomi Mi 5 Plus specs make it look weak by comparison. The bigger smartphone will sport a 5.7-inch QHD panel, and the processor will be bumped up to a speedy Snapdragon 820. As with the regular version, the RAM is still up in the air as is the internal storage. The rear camera is listed at 23MP with laser-assisted autofocus and OIS while a 12MP camera takes care of the selfies. It will run Android like its smaller sibling, but with a larger 3,500mAh battery.

Most of the Mi5 specs line up with the previous rumors, but the Xiaomi Mi 5 Plus specs do sound a little too good to be true. That said, it’s certainly possibly they could crank out a handset that highly spec’d although we’d expect a hefty price tag, especially if it has an all-metal body like this rumor and previous ones suggest.

Do you think the Xiaomi Mi 5 Plus specs are legit or something we’re likely to see down the road?
