Liquid Jade Primo Windows 10 Phone from Acer Available for $649 in US

#

Acer has launched their latest Windows 10 phone, dubbed Acer Liquid Jade Primo for the United States. It is an awfully long name for a smartphone that costs nearly $700. The phone runs Windows 10 Mobile OS and is listed on the Microsoft Store. It was launched in Europe, back in April and it has finally arrived in the US market. The major concern about the phone was its steep price tag, which most probably will work against the phone.

The phone comes with a pebble-like design and has an overall rounded form-factor. The specifications are pretty good, except when you realize what you are paying for it. The 5.5-inch AMOLED display comes with a Full HD resolution and has Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

The phone has dual-sim capability and the second sim slot can be used for expanding the 32GB internal storage up to 256GB. The SoC used in the Acer Liquid Jade Primo is the last-gen Snapdragon 808, along with the Adreno 418 GPU. Also provided is 3GB of RAM. Even though the SD808 is quite a good SoC, it is not even comparable to the SD820, seen in most of the other flagships.

The best part about the phone is its 21 megapixel rear camera. Based on a few reviews, it is quite a revelation in this segment and will provide tough competition to the others in the same segment. The front 8MP selfie shooter does its job perfectly too.

The Acer Liquid Jade Primo comes with a USB-Type C connector and a polycarbonate body. The 2,800mAh battery may not seem adequate at first, but it provides much more juice that it is expected to. With the phone running Windows 10 Mobile and providing support for Windows Continuum, it is quite a good offering from Acer. But the whopping price tag of $649 in the US market may force buyers to look at other options.
